The technology for the production of high quality mineral foam granules has been advanced over recent years, and demonstrates the innovative approach with all the advantages mentioned. The products range from normal expanded glass products, through high quality expanded clay products, to new kinds of expanded stone dust products and innovative silicate products.

In contrast to conventional manufacturing methods used by other producers of lightweight fill materials (e.g. expanded glass or expanded clay manufacturers), we are able to satisfy a wide range of requirements on the granulates. Our facility concept allows a temperature range of up to 1,200 °C, which we can control precisely during the expansion process. Conventional facilities only run standard temperatures and can, as with e.g. expanded glass manufacturers, only achieve around 800 °C, which limits production opportunities.

For the production of high quality products, which are of interest in the market for lightweight and ultra-lightweight construction materials, the material characteristics of the expanded minerals available on the market are not sufficient.

Keragroup has developed high tech expanded minerals also for this very special area, which can be manufactured with new kinds of production facilities.
